How to Order Drum Samples
Sample orders are the fastest way to verify quality, sound, and finish before committing to bulk production. Below is exactly how it works — fees, lead times, and how sample fees are credited toward your first bulk order.

Send Your Spec
Tell us drum type, size, quantity, and any custom finish / logo requirements. We confirm feasibility and reply with a sample quote within 24 hours.
Approve & Pay
Confirm the spec, pay the sample fee + shipping, and we start production. Sample lead time is 5–15 days depending on complexity.
Evaluate & Scale Up
Inspect the sample in person or via video. If quality is approved, sample fee is credited against your bulk order (≥ 100 pcs) — and bulk production starts.

Sample fees depend on drum family, size, and customization. The table below shows our standard tiers. Custom OEM prototypes are quoted separately.

Sample fees are non-refundable. They are credited against the buyer's first bulk order when the bulk MOQ is met, and the bulk order is placed within 90 days of sample delivery. Credit does not apply to shipping, taxes, or customization add-ons.

Samples are charged at our standard sample unit price. Shipping depends on destination, weight, and mode (air / sea / courier). We will quote both the sample fee and shipping on the same invoice.

Questions buyers ask
Can I order just 1 sample drum?
Yes. 1–3 pcs sample orders are welcome for all our standard drum families. Sample lead time is typically 5–10 days for waist drums and 7–15 days for Lion Dance / Tanggu.
Is the sample fee refundable?
Sample fees are non-refundable. However, the sample fee is credited in full against your first bulk order when bulk MOQ is met and the bulk order is placed within 90 days of sample delivery.
How long does sample production take?
Standard sizes: 5–7 days. Custom finishes or logos: 7–15 days. Custom OEM prototypes: 15–25 days including one round of revisions.
Can I customize the sample drum?
Yes. You can customize size, shell wood, drumhead material, color, and add a logo. Customizations that require tooling (e.g. custom hardware) may have higher sample fees.
Do you ship samples by air or sea?
Air (DHL / FedEx / UPS) is standard for 1–3 pcs sample orders and takes 3–7 days. Sea shipping is available for sample orders of 10+ pcs but takes 15–30 days.
What happens if I don't like the sample?
Tell us what to improve. We offer 1 round of revision included; further revisions are USD 80 each. If the issue is a manufacturing defect, we will replace or refund — your choice.
Can I order samples of multiple drum families in one shipment?
Yes. Many buyers order 1 sample each from Lion Dance, Tanggu, and Waist Drum in one shipment. Shipping is consolidated and billed once.
Can I use my sample as my order's first production unit?
Yes, by mutual agreement. If you approve the sample and want it as part of the bulk order, we credit the sample fee against the bulk invoice (subject to MOQ and lead time alignment).
